Puzzle

Last evening I completed a 1000 piece puzzle. And (sigh) there was a piece missing. However, when I walked into the other room, there it lay having been chewed by my little doggie (double sigh).

I picked it up, gently pushed it back into shape and put it in the puzzle.

This morning, as I looked at the completed puzzle, the Lord spoke to my heart. The piece is still there and still usuable. It's scarred up a little but it can still do its part. The puzzle is still "complete" albeit not as perfect as I would like it to be.

The Kingdom of God can be likened to a puzzle. Every born-again believer has a part and a role that is uniquely theirs. That person may be scarred, battered and bruised but in the Master puzzle completer's hands they can be pressed back into shape and be the missing piece in the puzzle.

The damaged piece is weak. But with a little bit of tape it can be "connected" to the stronger pieces around it.

Don't disregard the weaker, damaged pieces. Stand strong beside them and help them fulfill their place in the Kingdom. The damaged one still belongs in the puzzle and can complete it to make an imperfect, yet beautiful picture.

What a wonderful illustration of God's grace! But the best part is, He no longer sees the imperfections. All He sees is the completed puzzle!

A final thought: That piece was dropped in the first place because I was not being as attentive and careful as I should have been. Hmmm? Are we allowing too many of "the pieces" of the Kingdom puzzle to get dropped?

Be blessed!
