Sin and Consequences
If I see the foundation of my relationship with Christ as being based on sympathy rather than crucifixion I will not see my sin as the problem but rather the consequences of sin as the problem. We become so focused on consequences that we ignore the cause. We do not suffer because of the consequences of sin but because of the presence of sin. Consequences are not our enemy, sin is. Consequences are there to reveal sin not to be the result of sin (Romans 7). Far too much of our energy is used in dealing with the consequences rather than eradicating the sin.
Think about it!
Be blessed!
