Aliens or Rapture?

I was talking with a church member a few evenings past. She brought up the Rapture of the Church and asked if I thought it would be explained away as aliens. My answer was, "Absolutely!"

The following is the emergency address made by fictional character President Thomas Whitmore, portrayed by actor Bill Pullman, in the 1996 movie Independence Day.

**********
"My fellow Americans, a historic and unprecedented event has occurred. The question of whether or not we're alone in the universe has been answered. Although it's understandable that many of us feel hesitation or fear, we must attempt to reserve judgment. Panic, seen occurring all over the world, has caused undue injury and loss of life. This is not how we as Americans should react to what is one of the most significant events in the history of the world. Rest assure, we are proceeding with extreme caution. Yet we have to consider the opportunities for ourselves, our children and future generations. These opportunities are vast, very exciting; until today totally inconceivable. My staff and I will remain in the White House as we attempt to establish communication. If you feel compelled to leave these cities, please do so in an orderly fashion, according to the adjusted trafficking pattern. Civil defense procedures are underway to assure the safety for all those who remain. These are uncertain but exciting times."

**********
I well remember sitting in the theater watching this fun, over-the- top movie filled with corny cliches and trite reference. But I, like most people, loved it and still do. The reason so many of us enjoy the Syfy genre is because we know it is completely fictional and could never really happen. However, more and more intelligent (not crazy, but deceived) people are beginning to believe that life does exist on other planets, in other galaxies, maybe even other universes. Of course, as true believers, we know better.
When I heard these lines for the first time I thought (and said to my husband), "They should hold on to that address. It will be exactly what the powers- that-be will say the day after the Rapture of the Church".
Friends, the obsession with "life on other planets" is not accidental.
It is just another ploy of the enemy to desynthesize minds to what will be a tragic (too small a word) day after; giving credence to world powers being able to explain it away as alien abductions. Read that address again while imagining that the Rapture has occurred.
The day after the Rapture there won't be any killing of the aliens and life going back to normal. There are no words to describe how horrendous things will be for the people remaining on the earth. And just as one man, President Whitmore, stepped in to save the day and the world, one man will step into power offering peace and security. But that man will not be a good-hearted hero. He will be the devil incarnate, the Anti-Christ and all who follow him, swearing allegiance to him, will have no chance of redemption.
Do not be deceived! Jesus is coming very soon! Why not make Him your Lord today?

"Are you ready? Are you ready? People get ready! people get ready! Jesus is coming back!"

Looking for His appearing,

Pastor Jennifer
