Yes, It's Witchcraft!

Again...long read warning. Sorry...I do try to keep things brief but the Holy Spirit won't always let me. ****** As a Pastor, one of my assignments and responsibilities is to correct and guide, always in love. I was recently asked a sincere question which prompted this answer. There are only two powers in the universe. God and Satan. If it is not of God, it is of Satan. The little "harmless" things you see on facebook are not so harmless. They are superstition at best and at worst, witchcraft. October will be upon us before we can blink, bringing with it a whole host of things that dabble in the dark side. If you are under my spiritual influence, in any way, I admonish to stop playing with that mess! It may seem like harmless fun but it has the potential to open portals into your life; portals that demons can slip through. Here's some examples of what I am referring to: On facebook: *Insert "amen" and you will be blessed (mixing superstition with faith) ...

Somebody's Watching

A few days ago, I wrote and posted about the Walls of Jericho. Some of you saw it. If not, you need to. It will encourage you! In that writing I mentioned "going before and blowing the trumpet" on behalf of someone else. Later on, I was thinking (and I NEVER said it out loud) that if I had a Shofar, I would go to the church to pray and blow the Shofar. Again, I NEVER said this aloud. Today, I opened Amazon and the first thing I saw was something I "might be interested in". Yep...a Shofar! For those who don't know, a Shofar is a trumpet of sorts made out of a ram's horn used for various applications by the Hebrews. Many Christians have adopted the practice as it is deeply moving to hear a ram's horn sounded. One of 4 things has happened: 1 - AI saw the post then auto researched what the trumpets in the story might have looked like then auto offered me this product, 2 - AI really can read minds, 3 - we really do have data collecting and sending devices...

David didn't kill Goliath on the battlefield. He killed him long before he encountered him. He killed him in the sheep pasture as he spent time alone with God - praying, listening to the voice of the Father and worshipping! It was because he had intentionally developed his relationship with God that he had the confidence to step onto that battlefield saying, "You come to me with spear and sword, but I come to you in THE NAME OF THE LORD!" Many people want to invoke the name of Jesus over their circumstances when they don't really even know Jesus. They are quick to ask for prayer when they face a difficulty, but they haven't spent their own time in prayer. Asking a complete stranger for help is called "begging". Wouldn't we all rather get help from a trusted friend? God, in His great mercy, sometimes responds to begging. But the old adage "beggars will be beggars" is true. Without a complete lifestyle change beggars just go back to begging. ...

Joshua 6:1-21 You need to read the passage to refresh your mind then read this. ******** This will preach! Thank you. I think I will!😄 The Lord just spoke this to me for a specific individual but it was too good not to share with someone else who may need it! Joshua chapter 6 records the story of the Walls of Jericho. I know the story well and so do you. It is a story told to us from childhood. But today the Holy Spirit gave me, what to me is, a fresh revelation. For the first six days Joshua instructed the people not to "shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you SHOUT!" Are you facing a wall? Your wall could look like any number of things. I am challenging you today or whenever you see this. DO NOT talk about your wall to ANYONE except the Lord for the next 6 days. Be silent. Do not even tell anyone you have a wall or that you are praying about that wall. Do not ask anyone to pray with you. ...

Submission and Anointing

Disclaimer:  This writing is not in anyway about our wonderful church family. We thank God daily for them. The Collinwood Church of God family has a clear understanding of spritual authority as well as how important unity is. They truly practice "in honor preferring one another". As a result God is doing marvelous and amazing things in our midst! ********* Several months ago I begin digging deeper into studying The Anointing. I want nothing more than to experience more and more of The Anointing. I am greedy for it! I will do whatever God requires of me! Even when that means being willing to be hurt, overlooked or misunderstood. The litmus test of your anointing is not how much you shout, worship with intensity, lay hands on people, speak in tongues or prophecy. It is not how well you sing, teach or even deliver a powerful word. The litmus test of your anointing is how you behave when you are not "on". The litmus test of your anointing is how well you receive...

Launch Out Into the Deep!

This is a PROPHETIC word for someone today. I have a few specific people in mind but I prefer to let the Holy Spirit speak to hearts. Luke 5 relates this story. Simon (Peter) and the others with him had "fished all night" but caught nothing. These men were skilled fishermen. It was their profession. They knew what they were doing.  At this point they were tired and discouraged and had wasted resources. But along comes Jesus telling them to try one more time. Without hesitation they row out and cast their nets again. This time the nets were full of fish to the breaking point! What made the difference? One Word from Jesus! This time they did it His way. Simon said, "We've tried and tried with no results but if YOU say so we will try one more time." Look at the specific words of Jesus in verse 4. "Launch your boat out into the DEEP" inferring they had been fishing in the shallows...exactly where their expertise and experience would have indicated they sho...

Lavish Worship!

We recently attended Tennessee Church of God Camp Meeting and what a glorious time it was! For those who are not Church of God, it’s like a revival with all of our churches across the state coming together. Imagine a couple thousand Pentecostals in the same room and you get the drift! My husband and I always sit near the front. We get there an hour (sometimes an hour and a half) early to get “good” seats. He spends this time in the prayer chapel while I enjoy listening to the Praise Team practice and trying to learn from them. (They don’t mind me there…I’ve ask them and they know my purpose. This is not the time and place to chat, laugh and get caught up with friends. I am mindful not to disturb their practice). My husband and I are overtly emotional in our worship! We are careful to never get out of order or worship over someone who is speaking. Last year another pastor’s wife said to me, “I think you sit up front and worship like you do to get attention.” That stung! Deeply...
